Visitors discovered a hidden, circular pool beneath a dappled sunlit glade with mosaic koi carp swimming lazily through dark waters. My stunning koi pond was constructed using recycled ceramics and glass beads, with vibrant pieces forming life-like koi swimming between lotus flowers.
I collaborated with Lynn Ritson, whose living design created lush bamboo and plantings, fostering a tropical environment of mindfulness. Our zen pool encouraged visitors to slow down and find complete contrast to festival excitement.

The installation engaged all senses: colourful decorations, incense, water sounds, and tinkling wind bells fostered calmness. The mosaic medium celebrated brokenness and beauty, with bright colours promoting peace and positive energy.

Festival-goers could take time out to practice meditation and find stillness away from festival hustle. Following the festival, the pool received a new life at The Dawber Garden Community Trust, continuing to deliver peace of mind to passers-by.
